Born on 14th October 1988, Glenn James Maxwell is an Australian cricketer, who plays for the Victorian Bushrangers in Sheffield Shield, limited overs and Twenty20 matches and also plays for Fitzroy Doncaster club in Melbourne.
In February 2013,Indian Premier League team mumbai Indians bought him for 1 million American dollar and in March he created his take a look at debut against India within the second take a look at at Hyderabad.



Last year he made his IPL debut playing for the Delhi Daredevils but in the 2013 IPL Player Auction he was bought by the Mumbai Indians for USD 1 million – which was also this year’s highest bid.This year, in Pepsi IPL 2013, he will add value to Mumbai Indians team.

He has also played for Australia in the Hong Kong International Cricket Sixes and also plays in the Indian Premiere League.
Maxwell is a dependent  batsman who bats anywhere between the first and seventh position in the batting line-up,with his off-spin.

Maxwell made his debut for Australia against Afghanistan in a One Day International the United Arab Emirates in 2012. In his 2d ODI, against Pakistan, he hit associate degree unvanquished 56 and a six to seal a success for Australia. He was then selected in Australia's squad for the 2012 Interstate Commerce Commission World Twenty20. Maxwell was then selected in a 13-man squad for the 2013 sydney test match against sri lanka as a replacement for Shane Watson UN agency bruised his calf. On ten Jan 2013, on his ODI debut against sri lanka, he was involved in 2 run outs off consecutive balls.
